Dentistry Professor Speaks at 2009 World Dental Congress

Dr. Abdel Mohammad, professor of geriatric dentistry and director of the College of Dentistry’s Community Outreach and Engagement Program, has been invited by the Fédération Dentaire Internationale (World Dental Federation) to speak at the FDI Annual World Dental Congress in Singapore on September 2, 2009. The title of his presentation will be, “Gerodontology: Oral Healthcare for the Ambulatory and Institutionalized Elderly Patient.”

Professor and Director of the College’s Geriatric and Community Outreach Programs, Dr. Mohammad oversees the Nursing Home Program, the Geriatric Clinic, the Appalachian Program, the Tobacco Cessation Clinic, and other programs aimed at educating the local community and providing oral health care to those in need.
