MS Program Requirements

The Master’s program in dentistry provides research training to graduate students enrolled in advanced clinical training programs in dentistry. The objectives of the Master's Degree Program are to train graduate students in both the theoretical and practical aspects of the scientific method, to prepare clinical specialists to critically evaluate the scientific literature as life-long learners so that changes in the scientific basis of health care may be incorporated into clinical practice, and to advance knowledge in the areas of craniofacial biology and biomedical and clinical sciences. The master’s degree program in the College of Dentistry requires a thesis and leads to a Master’s of Science (M.S.) degree in Dentistry.
