Our diverse team of dental professionals will make your dental care as comfortable as possible. Comprised of dentists who choose to work in both clinical and academic settings, the OSU Dental Faculty Practice (DFP) offers the widest variety of dental services in the region. This unique approach provides you with a single practice for all of your dental health care needs -- and with the support of the latest knowledge and research from one of the nation's foremost universities.

Our Support
Our patients know they can depend on us for routine examinations and preventive cleanings, as well as treatment of the most complex oral and maxillofacial problems. In addition, with the help of our dental anesthesiologists, care can be provided for patients with significant dental fears, medical illnesses, and mental or physical disabilities. 

Your First Appointment

Becoming a patient is easy!

At your first appointment, we'll review your medical history, check your blood pressure, x-ray your teeth, and examine your mouth and jaws. This examination will give us important information about you and your health, and it will also allow us to develop a comprehensive treatment plan specifically designed to address your dental needs. Future appointments will be scheduled to resolve any problems and to maintain your overall oral health.

Payment Options

A word about our payment policies

Patients are responsible for copay(s) and/or payment for services at the time of treatment. The Dental Faculty Practice accepts many health insurance programs. If you wish to be treated by a provider for a specific insurance plan, please be sure to verify that your dentist is a participating member of your particular plan.

For our insured patients, we require a 20% down payment or your known co-payment at the time of service. A claim form will then be submitted to your insurance company. In the event that an insurance payment is denied or is only partially paid, the balance becomes the patient's responsibility and is due immediately. Cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover are all accepted methods of payment. To find out more about our payment policies, please take a moment to review our Financial Policy.
