Dentistry Students to Raise Money Through "BuckeyeThon" 12-Hour Dance Marathon


The 2012 dance marathon will be held in the Archie Griffin Grand Ballroom of the Ohio Union from 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, to 8 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 26.

 

 

BuckeyeThon is a 12-hour dance marathon that raises money for the Hematology/Oncology Department at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Last year, BuckeyeThon raised $222,518. 

The College of Dentistry's BuckeyeThon team members are being recruited by Dan Magness (D2) and ASDA. The registration fee is $100 per student, but teams of 20 will receive a discount of $20 per person. ASDA and SGA are each subsidizing another $20 per person, reducing the fee to $40 per student.

Last year BuckeyeThon raised $222,518.

The team asks alumni, faculty, and staff members to sponsor students attending the event by donating to cover the remaining $40 cost per person.
