Mark Schibler Named Veler Dental Scholarship Recipient


Scholarship recipients are expected to continue in the Velers’ footsteps by engaging in a lifelong relationship with the college.

 

 

Mark Schibler, a D1 student at the College of Dentistry, has been announced as the 2012 recipient of the Richard C. Veler, DDS, and Betty G. Veler Dental Scholarship.  

 
Students who are chosen as Veler Scholars receive full, renewable, in-state tuition throughout their time in the DDS program as a result of their outstanding academic merit and their excellent character.

"I am overwhelmingly thankful and honored to be named a Veler scholar..."

“Dr. Veler and his wife were incredibly dedicated to the OSU dental school, and clearly, one of their hopes was to see our college become one of the greatest in the country,” Schibler said. “I am overwhelmingly thankful and honored to be named a Veler scholar, and to do my part to further our profession as was Dr. Veler's dream. Hopefully the generosity of the Veler family will someday inspire many of us to look back to our days in dental school, at the challenges and rewards, and to support future dental students in kind.”
 

Scholarship recipients are expected to continue in the Velers’ footsteps by engaging in a lifelong relationship with the college. That relationship will be demonstrated in ways that have a permanent impact on The Ohio State University, the College of Dentistry, and its students.
