Anjum Shah, BSDH, MS, EdD to Serve as Director of Dental Hygiene Graduate Program

On August 1, Dr. Anjum Shah will join the college as director of the Dental Hygiene Graduate Program. She recently completed a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree and a Post Master's Leadership in Higher Education Certificate from the University of South Florida, while also providing dental hygiene instruction as an adjunct faculty member at Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, Florida. Her professional experience includes serving as an adjunct dental hygiene faculty member at St. Petersburg College in Pinellas Park, Florida, and as an associate professor and chair of Dental Hygiene Program Admissions at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia.

Dr. Shah received her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene (BSDH) degree from Clayton State University in Morrow, Georgia, after which she completed a Master of Science (MS) degree with a concentration in dental hygiene teaching at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.

In her new position as director of the Dental Hygiene Graduate Program, she will manage the admissions process for graduate students; advocate for and propose programmatic enhancements; assume the position of chair of the Dental Hygiene Graduate Studies Committee; and serve as the official representative of the program.
