Dr. Beau Meyer is an Associate Professor in the Division of Pediatric Dentistry, and a practicing dentist and researcher. He recently received a $3.4 M grant from the National Institute for Dental and Craniofacial Research. The project includes collaborators from Ohio State’s Center for Biostatistics and College of Medicine, as well as the RAND Corporation and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Meyer’s other research and publications focus on dental care delivered to Medicaid-enrolled children, including analysis of interventions intended to reduce future treatment and expenditures. Throughout this career, he has received honors that include the College of Dentistry's Larry J. Peterson Award that recognizes teaching excellence. He is also a past recipient of the American Dental Education Association's Olav Alvares Award for Early Career Scholars that is given to young investigators who conduct and publish outstanding research, and he is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
