Dental Hygiene Students Receive ADEA Scholarships
Ms. Riley Sines and Ms. Johanna Owen are dental hygiene students who recently received scholarships from the American Dental Education Association (ADEA).
Ms. Sines is the recipient of the 2023 ADEA/Sigma Phi Alpha Linda DeVore Scholarship that is given to dental hygiene students who are pursuing allied dental education. She is a senior in the Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene (BSDH) program. Ms. Owen received the 2023 ADEA/Crest Oral-B Scholarship for Dental Hygiene Students Pursuing Academic Careers. She is a second-year student in the Master's in Dental Hygiene (MDH) program that prepares dental hygienists for positions as educators, researchers, and leaders.
The Division of Dental Hygiene Chair, Ms. Rachel Kearney, said, "We are so proud that ADEA has recognized our students' accomplishments, leadership, and potential. They are setting a standard for excellence and this is shown by the awards they have received."
