Amana Farrkh, DDS, Joins ADEA Leadership Program
Dr. Amana Farrkh, an assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Dentistry, was recently selected as a participant in the Institute for Teaching and Learning that is part of the American Dental Education Association’s Academy for Advancing Leadership. The leadership development program is designed for early- to mid-career ADEA members who wish to refine their teaching skills and enhance the quality of their student interactions.
Dr. Farrkh earned her DDS degree from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. Prior to joining the college faculty, she served as a general dentist in private practitice in the Columbus area. As an assistant professor in the Division of Dental Public Health, she provides faculty oversight of the college’s Health Outreach Mobile Experience program, also known as the H.O.M.E. Coach mobile dental clinic that currently provides dental care and oral health education for underserved children in Columbus and surrounding communities.
