New H.O.M.E. Coach Supports Expanded Outreach Program
Since it was launched in 2005, the college’s Health Outreach Mobile Experience or H.O.M.E Coach has brought dental care and oral health education to underserved children in Columbus and surrounding areas.
With the goal of helping to bridge the gap in access to dental care in other parts of the state, a new 38-foot coach will support the expansion of the college’s outreach program by providing care to underserved Ohioans, including children, adults, and elderly patients.
The new H.O.M.E Coach provides innovations that include a wheel chair lift for patients with limited mobility; a cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) unit for 3-D imaging; a milling machine for restorations; teledentistry capabilities; and digital dentistry that enhances efficiency and patients’ experiences.
